I am a thirty-something mother of one. For the past five years my husband and I have been trying for a second baby with no joy and we have come to the conclusion that it is about time we took our fertility issues seriously and get real help. Oh yes, we have gone the NHS route (free public Health Service),  but it was a waste of bloody time. Everything took so long and we never really got anywhere. Finally, we decided to go the expensive private route and it is this journey I intend to share with you on this blog.
When I am not checking temperature, counting days between periods and frantically peeing on sticks, I am a freelance writer. I write in various different styles but have recently carved a niche in Humour – you know, looking at life from a slightly cynical and “imagine if this was happening to someone else” perspective.
I have one son, he is now 7 years old. He was conceived naturally with one cycle of Clomid. He is disabled and developmentally delayed and we love him to pieces. He is also a spoiled little brat and giving him a sibling will perhaps teach him a thing or two about sharing and perhaps get him to acknowledge that his not actually the master of the universe.

    Stork Hunting,
I don’t usually write anything serious the first time I drop by, as it gives the wrong impression, but I found your intro quite touching. There. You can tell everyone you made Le Clown weepy.

I love that you’re taking to blogging to chronicle your journey to a new baby. I did the same thing, and I fond it to be extremely cathartic. It’s also great to have people all over the world supporting you along the way. I’m one of them!
